I forgot to mention until now that all the costumes in this film are especially designed by the Berlin fashion designer Daniela Beck, so, also the dark blue silk dress in the painting today.
Ich vergaß bisher zu erwähnen, daß alle Kostüme des Films speziell von der Berliner Modedesignerin Daniela Beck entworfen wurden, so auch das dunkelblaue Seidenkleid aus dem heutigen Bild.

A close-up of the leading man. In my daily observations from life I hardly find such outburst of emotion drawn into a face as it is shown here, so working on this film project is also if seeing it from that aspect very rewarding for my work. Of course they are actors, acting, but since Lee Strasbers, acting methods have changed into the actors behaving very near to the real thing.
Eine Nahansicht des Hauptdarstellers. In meinen täglichen Beobachtungen des Lebens um mich herum finde ich kaum ein Gesicht in das sich ein solcher Gefühlsausbruch gezeichnet hat, so ist die Arbeit an dem Filmprojekt, wenn man es unter diesem Aspekt betrachtet, für mich und meine Arbeit sehr erfüllend. Natürlich sind es Schauspieler, die spielen, aber seit Lee Strasberg haben sich die Schauspielmethoden immer mehr dahingehend verändert, daß die Schauspieler dem realen Gefühl sehr nahe kommen.

I got an e-mail from Marc R. Wilkins the director of Twilight. He is so busy working at his newest film in New York at the moment, that he just found time today to look at my work for his film. Now, his favourites are so far Twilight Nr 9, Nr 4 and Nr 3. Well, and today comes another one to decide, and the film is btw in English, so no subtitles.
Ich bekam eine Email von Marc R. Wilkins dem Regisseur von Twilight. Da er im Moment damit beschäftigt ist, seinen neuen Film in New York zu drehen, hat er sich erst jetzt meine Arbeiten für das Filmprojekt angesehen. Ja, und seine Favoriten für das Plakat sind ersteinmal Twilight Nr. 9, Nr. 4 und Nr. 3. Und heute kommt nochmal eines dazu, zur Entscheidungsfindung. Übrigens, der Film ist in Englisch, es gibt also keine Untertitel.

Day 9 of the film project, and still more to come. When I was at drama school way back in London, we had this exercise just to listen to people walking, and by that to build a whole story around that sound….. I was very much reminded of that exercise when painting to-day`s piece.
Tag 9 des Filmprojektes, und da kommt noch mehr. Als ich vor ewigen Zeiten auf der Schauspielschule in London war, gab es diese Übung, nur die Geräusche, die Menschen beim Gehen machen anzuhören und uns um diesen „Sound“ eine ganze Geschichte aufzubauen … daran wurde ich beim Malen des heutigen Bildes sehr stark erinnert.

Another suggestion for the film poster artwork. You know my fascination with reflections and mirrors from previous paintings, so the choice to paint today`s picture was an easy one for me.
Ein weiterer Vorschlag für das Filmposter. Sie kennen ja bereits aus früheren Bildern meine Faszination für Reflektionen und Spiegel, da war die Wahl des Motivs für das heutige Bild eine leichte für mich.

There are so many images in this film, mmmm it is more likely that I get mad in the end, not the actors, but I will not cut my ear, don´t you worry, I will think of something else.
Da sind so viele Bilder in diesem Film, mmm, wahrscheinlich werde ich Verrückt werden am Ende, nicht die Schauspieler, aber keine Sorge, ich werde mir kein Ohr abschneiden, ich denke mir was anderes aus.

Day five of my film project, I still don´t know where I am going, but I enjoy the walking. By the way if you are in London reading this blog and you don´t know where to go tomorrow I have a suggestion to make. A friend and colleague of mine, the great painter Nigel Cox is opening tonight his new exhibition which is tomorrow open to the public. I only can recommend to go and see his impressive work. Here are the details: “From the Streets of London” Recent paintings by Nigel Cox at the GX Gallery, 43 Denmark Hill, Camberwell, London SE5 8RS. The exhibition runs from the 7th July through to the 18th July inclusive. Getting there: Nearest tube: Oval or Elephant and Castle. Bus: Any to Camberwell. The gallery is open from Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9:30am to 5:30pm. Closed on Sunday
Tag fünf meines Filmprojektes. Ich weiß immer noch nicht wo es mich hinführt, aber mir gefällt der Weg. Und dann noch ein Tip sollten Sie diesen blog in London lesen. Heute abend eröffnet die Ausstellung meines Freundes und Kollegen, dem großartigen Maler Nigel Cox. Nähere Infos dazu im englischen Text, ich kann Ihnen einen Besuch nur empfehlen.

As you can see, this film is very intense, obviously I cannot tell you the story yet, before the film is officially released, but you can surely guess through my paintings that it is not light entertainment here.
Wie Sie sehen handelt es sich um einen sehr dramatischen Film, verständlicherweise kann ich Ihnen die Geschichte nicht erzählen bevor der Film offiziell angelaufen ist, aber sicher können Sie schon aus meinen Bildern erkennen, daß es sich nicht um leichte Unterhaltung handeln wird.
