Water, Rain and a small Tree

If you go to the river here in Berlin to the place where I go nearly every day, you only have a very raised view from a quay wall. However, there are some stone stairs leading directly to the water. Usually those stairs are closed to the public by iron gates. But today I found one of them to be open, so I went down these stairs and had this view of the river, really close, it was raining, there was the water of the river like a tableau of many forms and colors, and a small tree growing out of nowhere.
An dem Platz am Fluß hier in Berlin an den ich fast täglich gehe, hat man nur einen sehr erhöhten Blick auf die Spree, von der Kaimauer aus. Jedoch gibt es Steinstufen die direkt ans Wasser führen. Normalerweise ist der Weg dort hinunter für die Öffentlichkeit durch Eisentore versperrt. Aber heute fand ich eines der Tore offen und ging die Stufen erstmals hinab. Ich bekam diesen Blick auf den Fluß, aus direkter Nähe. Es regnete, das Wasser erschien wie ein Tableau der verschiedensten Formen und Farben, und ein kleines Bäumchen wuchs dort aus dem Nirgendwo heraus.
