Hotel Bar

Another scene from the Schlosshotel in Grunewald. The dinner came to its final stages. I felt this urge to smoke a cigar. Being forgetful sometimes, I left mine at home. So being a bit shy to ask the waiter, I went for a stroll again, looking for the hotel bar. Well I found it, it was more like a private salon, through the half open double doors I could see the golden light, reflections of bottles and glasses, subdued piano music, was it something by Chopin?, whispered conversation held in French, an open fire….. at the end I got my cigar and another image in my mind for a painting.
Eine weitere Szene aus dem Schlosshotel in Grundwald. Das Abendessen bewegte sich dem Ende zu und ich hatte Lust, eine Zigarre zu rauchen. Da ich manchmal etwas vergesslich bin, hatte ich meine zuhause gelassen. Und da es mir irgendwie unangenehm war den Ober danach zu fragen spazierte ich selbst wieder etwas herum und suchte die Hotel Bar. Nun, ich fand sie, doch war das mehr wie ein ganz privater Salon, durch halbgeöffnete Doppeltüren konnte ich das goldene Licht, Reflektionen von Flaschen und Gläsern sehen, gedämpfte Klaviermusik, war das ein Stück von Chopin? und leise, in Französich geführte Konversation drang an mein Ohr, das offene Kaminfeuer prasselte … nun letzendlich bekam ich dort meine Zigarre und ein weiteres Motiv für ein Bild nahm ich in Gedanken ebenfalls mit.
