Study of Phisalis

It is always a challenge to paint physalis, a good exercise to train the eyes. There is something ethereal about the appearance of this fruits. The colours are all in layers, shining through each other, it is nearly impossible to see an beginning and an end of a form, mmmmm sets you right back on your place and makes me feel humble and thankful for what I have achieved so far in my painting.
Physalis Früchte zu malen ist immer eine Herausforderung, ein gutes Training für die Augen, die Sichtweise. Diese Früchte haben ein fast ätherisches Erscheinungsbild. Die Farben sind alle in Schichten, eine scheint durch die andere hindurch, es ist fast unmöglich den Anfang und das Ende einer Form zu erkennen, mmmm verweist einen ganz schön zurück auf seinen Platz und bewirkt daß ich bescheiden und dankbar werde für das was ich in der Malerei bisher erreichen durfte.
