Rosebush

I told you that I was visiting my parents in the country over the Christmas days. On Christmas eve, it was already dark outside, I went for a stroll through the garden. There was this rosebush with three buds, still fading away and not really fresh, but still there, lit by a garden lantern. This blog painting of today is only a very poor recollection of this scene, but I found it quite symbolic for that night, more symbolic of all this usual Christmas decoration.
Ich habe davon erzählt daß ich über die Weihnachtstage meine Eltern auf dem Land besuchte. Am heiligen Abend, es war schon dunkel draußen, ging ich noch auf einen kleinen Spaziergang in den Garten. Da war dieser Rosenbusch mit drei Blüten, nicht mehr ganz frisch, aber sie waren da diese Blüten, angestrahlt von einer Gartenlaterne. Mein heutiges blog painting gibt diese Szene nur bedingt wieder, aber ich fand diese Szene recht symbolisch für diese Nacht, es bewegte mich mehr als die übliche Weinachtsdekoration.
