Today´s blog painting is a glass with olives. A theme I have been painting before. Its a challenge to paint glass with something behind, so its always a good practise.
Das heutige blog painting zeigt ein Glas mit Oliven. Ein Sujet, das ich auf andere Art schon einmal verwendet habe. Es ist eine große Herausforderung Glas zu malen, die Illusion Glas zu betrachten, die nur dadurch entsteht, daß etwas hinter dem Glas ist.

I am with this blog officially online for one day. And what a day it has been. The response is more than I ever imagined. Today´s blog painting is a box of cigarillos, with some small change and a calling card. I collect this small boxes, as I always think, they might be suitable for further still lifes.

Today´s painting is a tribute to the genius of Hergé. The stories of Tin Tin were part of my childhood. A couple of years ago I found this little plastic toy of Tin Tin. So I placed this on a piece of paper with a tube of paint in front, and here it is, my blog painting of the day.
Das heutige Bild ist meine Verneigung vor dem Genie von Hergé. Seine Geschichten waren Teil meiner Kindheit. Vor einiger Zeit kaufte ich dieses kleine Plastik Spielzeug mit Tim und Struppi, so hatte ich die Idee, dieses Spielzeug auf ein Blatt Papier mit einer Tube Farbe davor zu stellen, und hier ist das blog painting für heute.

This is my first official blog painting. We finally made it. It is an exclusive preview for all my subscribers so far. During the next days we will go official via e mail, press etc. It is my intent to paint for this blog a series of things from daily life, things that we tend to overlook. But all those simple things have their own beauty. It is like a meditation, to have a moment during the day, to be only with one thing, a simple thing, to shut away the noise of life…
Dies ist mein erstes blog Painting. Eine exklusive preview für alle meine derzeitigen Abonennten. Während der nächsten Tage wird dann alles offiziell und für jeden zugänglich, bekannt gemacht durch e mail mailings, Presse etc.
Im Moment ist es mein Wunsch einfache Dinge des tägliche Lebens zu malen, Dinge die wir leicht übersehen, die aber doch ihre ganz besondere Schönheit haben. Es ist wie eine Meditation, einen Moment am Tag sich mit einem kleinen scheinbar unwichtigen Gegenstand zu beschäftigen, und dabei den Lärm des Lebens draussen zu lassen…
