A reflection of a moment of the day
Today, far from the official events, a man walks through the dense traffic of a busy Berlin street, with his protest sign.
I am still in Monbijoupark with this painting.
Das Licht des Spätsommers in meinem Berliner Garten, dem Monbijoupark.
The light of a late summers day in my Berlin garden, the Monbijoupark.
Im Bauch des Platzes, unten im U-Bahnhof…
In the belly of the square, down in the underground station …
On the way down to tube station. Summer in Berlin, Neukölln, Karl-Marx-Straße.
Everything is clothed, wrapped in the colour of the night. The water of the lake is mirror-smooth. From afar, the engine of a boat sounds, but then everything is quiet again. The night on the Müggelsee.
Der Abend zieht auf über dem See.
The evening arises over the lake.
Across the Müggelsee, with a light breeze, sailing into the evening. The crowns of the waves reflect the light of the setting sun.
