Baustelle
Die letzten Tage habe ich damit verbracht mein Atelier auszuräumen, da ab morgen eine neue Heizungsanlage eingebaut wird. Die Idee vom letzten Winter meine Werkstatt mit nur zwei kleinen Heizkörpern und einem Werkstattofen zu beheizen, war doch recht sportlich und kalt. Auch wird ein Balken der senkrecht mitten im Raum steht versetzt. Ich hoffe alle Berechnungen waren richtig, weil, der stützt nämlich das Dach…. der Plan ist, daß bis Ende der Woche mein Atelier wieder zu Verfügung steht, warm, ohne störenden Balken, und intaktem Dach, dann kann ich wieder arbeiten und dann gibts auch wieder neue Bilder …
I spent the last few days clearing my studio, as I will get a new heating system installed by tomorrow. The idea from last winter to heat the studio with only two small radiators and a studio oven, was more an idealistic thought, and very cold. Also there will be a beam , that stands right in the middle of the studio, being moved to another place. I hope all calculations are right, as that beam supports the roof. Anyway, I hope all will be well and usable by the end of the week, warm, without the beam, but with an intact roof and then I will be able to work again and show you new paintings ….

Wieder einmal werde ich vereisen, es ist ein unruhiges Jahr. Ich werde vor Ort an einem größerem Bild arbeiten, hoffe aber das ich Ende nächster Woche wieder zurück in meinem Atelier bin. Bis dahin, machen Sie es gut.
I will be traveling again. It is a rather restless year. I will be working on location on a larger painting, and hope to be back in the studio by the end of next week. So till then, take care.

Das Mondlicht ist besonders hell über dem Moorland im Moment, und ich wusste bisher nicht das Rehe bellen können.
The moonlight seems very bright at the moment over the moorland, and I did not know that deer could bark…

Wenn sich der Himmel im Wasser der tausenden von kleinen Flüssen spiegelt, und die Wolken wie eine Gebirslandschaft aus grossen Luftballons langsam zum Horizont gleitet, die Landschaft in eine unendliche Weite zerfließt , dann ist man in Norddeutschland angekommen.
When the sky is reflected in the water of those thousands of little rivers, and the clouds like huge mountains of balloons drift slowly to the horizon, the landscape into an endless space evaporates, than you are in the north of Germany.
Der Birkenwald

Vor vielen Jahren wollte meine Mutter in diesem Teil des Gartens einen See anlegen. Schweres Gerät war von Nöten für diese Aufgabe. Als der Bagger sich immer tiefer durch das Erdreich frass, verlies ihn bald der Mut, da er auf die Hauptstromleitung sties. Das Projekt wurde kurzfristig abgeblasen. Was blieb war eine Kuhle und ein Erdwall. Über 20 Jahre später steht hier jetzt in der Vertiefung ein dichter Birkenwald gemischt mit undurchdringbarem Schilf… eine Heimat für viele Frösche und natürlich Feen.
Many years ago, my mother wanted to have a pond in this part of the garden. Heavy machinery was employed for the task. When the excavator got deeper and deeper into the earth, the man on the lever lost its courage very soon when he hit the main power cable…the project was shortly abandoned, what was left was a hole in the ground surrounded by a a pile of earth. More then 20 yeas later the hole is now filed with a small forest of birch trees mixed with impenetrable reed, home for frogs and of course fairies…
